Gratitude, Wonder, & Love
Angela Burgess | NOV 15, 2023
The practice of gratitude is one of my most beloved life practices. My birthday is in November, so I always feel especially drawn to noticing what I'm grateful for during this moth. I am so grateful to my parents for giving me the gift of life. I am infinitely grateful for the powerful birthing my Mama gave as she pushed me into this world. When I think about being birthed and giving birth myself I feel connected to my lineage in a very embodied way.
We are the answers to the prayers of our ancestors. We are also the ones praying for our children and the legacy of our lines as they evolve into the future. We are the living link to the past and future, residing in the present. I am infinitely grateful for the power of my life and for all those with whom I am able to share this journey.
You are such a person to me. I am sending this little love note as a reminder that you are a special and extraordinary being. Your presence is a gift to us all. Your sacred work of birthing the future is a precious offering to the living legacy of you and your ancestral lines.
I'm freshly back from the mystical & mythical Isle of Avalon (Glastonbury, UK). These are my ancestral lands and I'm feeling a very profound connection and gratitude for my experiences there and for the remembering and reweaving of seemingly lost connection. Truly, none of us can trace our lineage back to the first ones, but even though we come from the nameless, we still have their ancient codes living inside our DNA. Movement practices are one way I am able to tap into these cellular memories. I am grateful for the opportunity to dive into the practices of yoga as a way to access the embodied wisdom we each carry.
Whether you are pregnant, postpartum, or beyond, I'd love to share my offerings of embodiment practices with you as a way to keep reweaving our remembrances. Check out my schedule and offerings HERE.
With Gratitude for the Miracle of Us All,
Angela
