Always Whole — A New Year Blessing

Angela Burgess | JAN 6

One of the guiding lights of my practice is the moon.

I love witnessing her movement through the sky, her steady rhythm of phases, her quiet reliability. Sometimes she shines brightly. Sometimes she rests in shadow. Her appearance shifts, yet her essence remains complete. In every phase, the moon is whole.

As a new year opens, this truth feels especially alive.

We live in phases. Our bodies move through seasons. Our lives unfold in cycles. There are moments of expansion and moments of rest. Times of clarity and times of listening. Periods of momentum and periods of integration. Each phase carries its own wisdom, its own rhythm, its own invitation.

And through all of it, one truth holds steady:

We are always whole.

Wholeness is not something we grow into or earn. It is already present. It lives beneath every emotion, every transition, every change in pace. Even in moments that feel quiet or uncertain, wholeness remains intact, steady and true.

This new year arrives as an invitation to remember that truth.

You are welcome to meet this year exactly as you are. You are welcome to arrive with curiosity. You are welcome to move at a pace that feels supportive to your body, your nervous system, and your life. Presence is enough.

The practice I return to — again and again — is simple and spacious:
Make space.
Hold space.
Welcome wonder.

Wonder lives in attention. It lives in breath. It lives in noticing what is here. Wonder invites us into relationship with the present moment, allowing it to unfold in its own way.

As this year begins, may you carry this knowing with you:
You are whole in every phase.
You are supported in every season.
You belong right where you are.

May this year be met with steadiness and care.
May your path unfold with clarity and softness.
And may this gentle truth surround you, like moonlight.

No matter the phase, you are always whole. 🌙
